Experienced Hobby Breeders
To us, the British Shorthair is one of the most wonderful breeds of cats in the UK. We all love our respective breeds but we are of course a little biased. Who can resist the classic “chunky” face, short tail and wonderful markings or pure lilacs, blues and silvers. Ours are very friendly, fun, and total fuss magnets.
We also have Maine Coons which are our loveable and gentle giants. One of the largest breeds, but their size belays their gentle nature. Often described as being akin to a dog as they always like to be with you, love fuss and become your best friend. These are my husbands favourite. They are very quick at birth to open their eyes and ears and start walking, this comes from their wild background.
We have been breeding since 2018, are registered with the GCCF and only take one litter per year from our current queen “Lottie”. Very soon her daughter “Mollie” will meet her Stud. We are also the proud owner of a gorgeous Silver BSH “Lily” and in due course we will breed from her when the time is right.
All our new arrivals are fully vet checked when they’re a few days old and the vaccinated at 9 weeks and 13 weeks, so we ensure everything is done before we let them go.
We ensure they are well handled and socialised and we have other cats, dogs, chickens and ducks for them to meet as well. By the time they leave us, they are confident, loving kittens full of mischief, energy and fun.

Happy, Healthy Bloodline
We believe in producing the best possible kitten for their new owners. We only feed our fur babies on Royal Canin British shorthair food and they are all indoor cats. We only breed from top quality Studs of the correct bloodline for our Queens.

A Furever Friend
So what makes a BSH the best cat to own?
The boys tend to be quite solid compared to the girls, and both can be quite a chunky cat. They have thick fur which is so soft and a pleasure to stroke! As they get older they get a chunky round face, sometimes with a charming “double chin”.
They are usually very affectionate, very happy to be with you but not all over you. They are very trusting and loving which is one of the reasons we keep ours as indoor cats only as they will go to anyone and not very street savvy.
The colours vary but we specialise in the Blues and Lilac and soon Silver. Dependant upon the prominent genes they can also have stripes on the fur called “ticking”. This is a classic marking of the BSH and can make them look like a little tiger. The Silver BSH has striking markings on the body called the butterfly (between the shoulders) and the oyster ( on left and right side). Their eyes are blue at birth, but do change over time to a striking orange.
